Hello, beautiful readers!
How is your summer going? Did you go to warmer countries to bask in the sun? Or do you prefer surfing in the North Sea? Please, share your favorite vacation destinations with us! The Foreign Tales team tried a new genre—cooking videos. We wanted to share some authentic Korean recipes with our readers and what better way is there to share than with a video? It was fun to work on and we had delicious food to eat afterwards.
When I tell people I’m a vegan, the typical reaction that follows is: ‘I see. You want to die healthy.’ That just shows how much the food topic shifted towards healthy/unhealthy lifestyle discussion. But let’s not forget that food is also a source of simple everyday enjoyment. It’s a way to connect and share pleasure.
Here are our latest creations:
🍜 A stir-fried noodle recipe with Jiye teaching Arne the art of it.
🐔 Food as connection and memories by Shelly T.
And of course we have new interviews:
🏳️🌈 Nick from the U. S. and his view on gay [un]friendliness of the world.
🎥 Korean film-maker Bora Lee-Kil about her creative journey.
🧑🎨 UX designer Qa’id on common sense in design and life.
The summer time comes to a close. The chicks are all grown now and ready to spread their wings and fly. The chestnuts fall from the trees. If you are a little squirrel it’s going to be a busy month ahead of you. We are looking forward to the beauty of autumn and her lavish gifts.
